Planning Applications

Almost all new built development or changes of use of land require planning permission from the local Council. Sometimes this can be a straightforward process but often, where complex issues are involved, professional advice is needed to give a planning application the best chance of success. As a practice we work on a regular basis with a number of developers and architects, as well as providing a service for clients who have occasional contact with the planning system. This depth of experience means that we can provide a comprehensive service for your planning application, or work with your existing team to provide planning input as and when required.

For architects we provide advice on projects prior to submission, and for several of our existing clients provide a service of preparing the Design and Access Statement and submitting and then monitoring the application. If you work in this field we are happy to discuss providing this service, allowing you more time to concentrate on the design requirements of your clients.

Working with developers we can co-ordinate all of the planning and architectural input required to prepare a development proposal, and then submit and oversee the planning application on your behalf. Alternatively we can work with your existing team to provide a planning input.

We also work with a number of private clients who have a one off project they wish to undertake, (such as a new house) or wish to maximize the value of their property prior to a sale. As previously we are happy to prepare a planning application to meet with your aspirations for the site.
