Oakley Planning & Conservation work for a wide range of clients throughout southern England. The following are examples of clients who we regularly work with and the type of projects where we act for them.
We are particulary pleased to be working with Salisbury Cathedral in the preparaton of a Master Plan to help them set out and consult on their plans for the coming years. We have also worked on a number of individual planning and listed building projects, including the conversion of listed buildings at Ladywell into a cafe for the Cathedral, offices and holiday accommodation (pictured above).
We regularly work with Sherbourne Developments in their housing projects throughout Hampshire, Wiltshire and the Cotswolds. These jobs regulalry require close cooperation with architects, ecologists and landscape architects in order to secure planning consent for attractive rural houses.
In Swindon we have acted for a local landowner and secured planning permission to redevelop a site in Old Town where 22 new flats are replacing a group of tired buildings on Marlborough Road. Projects such as this require close working with the local planning office in order to achieve a positive result for the client.
We also enjoy working with local business - particulalry where they brew beer! In recent years we have secured planning permission and listed building consent for the Kennet & Avon Brewery to convert a shop in Devizes to the Vaults, a pub selling craft beer. In 2015 we secured planning permission for these clients to open a mico-brewery in Melksham.
In Honiton and Cornwall we have worked for Oaktree Parks successfully dealing with longstanding planning issues on their holiday parks. In Honiton we overcame a longstanding Enforcement Notice through removing a holiday occupancy condition on a number of lodges on the edge of the Town.
We also work for many private clients, either directly or through an introduction via a local architect. This could be to achieve permission for a one off residential or business project or to help out where they have come across planning problems.
