Not all planning applications are successful, and an appeal to the Secretary of State is often seen as being the answer to a refusal from the Local Planning Authority. We are happy to provide guidance on submitting an appeal, and can undertake this on your behalf, either through the written process or at a hearing or public inquiry.
In considering an appeal, it should always be remembered that the Inspector's decision is effectively the final one, and that this will normally (although not on every occasion) be based on the Council's policies. This being the case we will always look at your project to see whether amendments or a change to the detail of the scheme would make it more acceptable to the local authority, and only where all possibilities have been exhausted will we advocate the appeal route.
We have experience of all types of planning appeal and can advise on the appropriate method of taking the project forward.
